Shirley was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and lived most of her life in Louisville, Kentucky.

She spent many years working alongside her husband as a bookkeeper for their company.

She was an insurance agent for Shelter Insurance and was an active member of the American Legion, Post #113.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking for her father, playing cards and spending every moment possible with her grandchildren.

He was a member of Valhalla and his greatest joy was playing golf. As long as the sun was shining, he was on the first tee, waiting to share time with his friends and maybe even win a few bucks.

When not on the golf course, you could find Bert and Ann Leah, his loving wife of 51 years, at the race track or at a U of L game.

He was also past President of the local chapter of The Building Owners and Management Association and served 12 years as Chairman of The Louisville Metro Parks Board.

He served on the University of Louisville Cardinal Athletic Fund, was a Board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and was a two term Board member of the Regional Airport Authority of Louisville and Jefferson County.

The family immigrated to America in 1924, and Frank frew up in Bloomfield, NJ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara "Bobbie;" sons: Dr.

Lawrence (Tracy) and Craig Rouben (Willow); daughters: Leann Culbertson (Mark) and Celeste Barone (Tom) of Davidson, NC; grandchildren: Alec Rouben and Hudson Rouben, Tessa and Seth Culbertson, and Harrison and Kyle Barone; also brother Alvin Rouben (Dorothy) of San Diego, CA; and sister, Leba Frank (Werner); as well as many lifelong family and friends.

He never missed a sporting event or recital for any of his grandchildren and viewed his family as his greatest legacy.
