It'a pretty involved process, with basic, AIT/Naval Academy/Whatever training, and then you get sent somewhere to serve the remainder of your obligation.I was a civie who dated, and then married a military man. He was in Okalhoma, then Germany for three years of our relationship and we got to see each other rarely.Relationships can be work, why add the ordeal of distance to it??You need to talk to some guys who have gone into service single and/or in relationships to see what their take on it is.Dating someone in the military isn’t as glamorous as Hollywood makes it appear. If you are considering seriously dating a man (or woman) in the military, there are a few things to consider.Maybe you just met this person in the military and are curious about the “what-ifs” that come with the relationship.Perhaps you are already dating someone in the military but want to know more before making a serious commitment.
I have a lot of friends with military hubbies overseas and know what they go thru during the times alone.
But I also know a LOT of girls that refuse to have anything to do with military men period for political or total BS reasons.
Don't know if you've gotten the answers you were looking for, but that's my that's sadshit, you know yeah i have a year to meet some one and build up a realtionship. Im starting to question myself, should i really get a serious girlfriend? life's is messup up to military men Op-I have just one question..are you trying to find a relationship right before you get into the military??
Sad thing is, the military does NOT brief young soldiers/airmen/sailors about these things and it happens ALOT.
My boyfriend is Honorably Discharged from the US Army.
