On Sunday 16 July, participants gathered from 08h00 to 12h00 at a beautiful location for a judged Concorso at which the Alfa Romeo Montreal was the featured car. The maximum speed is reduced by a few km/h when the headlamp shelters are retracted.Other Italian cars also joined in separate groupings, and all the awards were made during the Awards Brunch from 12h00 to 14h00 before the convention ended. It is 8 km/h lower for a vehicle without front spoiler.
(top) (Quattroruote, 1972): Maximum speed 224 km/h. Bright orange (AR601/602) was a popular choice in the early sunshine years, ordered more frequently than classic Italian red (AR521).There was a sight-seeing tour of Rotterdam, visits to the Louwman Car Museum and a Heineken brewery, lunch on the SS Rotterdam, and a gala dinner cruise on the 1926 SS de Majesteit paddle steamer. The meeting hotel was the 4-star Hotel der Valk Rotterdam-Ridderkerk, which was centrally located for the scheduled events, has a secure parking, and is readily accessible by motorway.A preliminary programme for the meeting was made available in five languages. The inclusive price was about EUR 1100 per team, and to avoid VAT having to be charged registered participants were sent an invoice from Crowner's Foundation about two months before the meeting.
